GPON optical module, also known as GPON SFP transceiver, is a small and pluggable module that plays a critical role in Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON). It converts electrical signals into optical signals over fiber optic cables in the GPON network. Huawei GPON module has 3 types of Class B+, C+ and C++, price is different based on different modules equipped.

Advantage of the GPON Optical Modules

In summary, the fours modules differ from optical port, receiver sensitivity and split ratio. C++ is the highest performance, B+ is the lowest.

GPON board of Huawei MA5600T and MA5800 OLT, such as GPBD, GPFD, GPUF, GPSF, GPHF are normally inserted with C+, if C++ modules required, price will be higher; B+ modules is not recommend, because it is low performance but high fault rate.
